Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the OtoDock website and customer portal at otodock.io and of OtoDock licenses (together, the "Services"). By creating an account or making a purchase you agree to them. Use of the OtoDock software is separately governed by its Fair Source license (FSL-1.1-Apache-2.0); nothing here narrows the rights that license gives you.

1. Your account

Keep your credentials secure and your details accurate — license keys and receipts go to the email on file. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts used for abuse, fraud, or attacks against the Services.

2. Licenses and purchases

• Community use is free. Self-hosting for up to 5 users requires no license key and no account.
• Paid licenses are sold as subscriptions per the tier and seat limits shown at purchase. A signed license key is delivered to your email and your portal; it binds to one install at activation and can be moved from the portal.
• Payments are processed by Stripe as merchant of record: Stripe charges you, applies and remits VAT/sales tax, and issues your invoice. Displayed prices exclude VAT.
• Renewals and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, which you can do any time from the billing portal; your license stays valid to the end of the paid period. If a renewal payment fails we retry and notify you before a license lapses. A lapsed license downgrades gracefully — the software keeps running with community limits; your data is never held hostage.
• Refunds. Statutory withdrawal and consumer rights apply where required by law. Beyond that, if something went wrong with a purchase, write to [email protected] — we are reasonable.

3. The software is self-hosted

OtoDock the software runs on your infrastructure, under your control and your responsibility. You are the operator of your install: you administer its users, its data, and its compliance with the laws that apply to you. The software is provided under its license "as is", without warranty. A license key never gates access to your own data.

4. Acceptable use

Don't attack, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, and don't use them to violate the law or third-party rights. (What you run on your own install is governed by the software license, not by this section.)

5. Intellectual property

OtoDock, its logo, and the website content are ours. The software's source code is publicly available under the Fair Source license. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the product without obligation.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the Services is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms; material changes are announced by email or in the portal before they take effect. You can close your account at any time. Purchased license keys survive account closure for their paid term.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. Disputes go to the competent courts of Greece unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
